Emergency Food Delivery Initiative

  

Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS) will be delivering groceries, hygiene supplies, family activity kits, and informational materials to newcomer families and individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Deliveries will be done every Thursday between 9:30am-12:30pm and recipients will be contacted in advance. 

VIRCS strictly adheres to public health guidelines in the preparing, packaging, and delivery of food and supplies hampers to its newcomer clients.

This initiative is supported by wonderful volunteers who have provided their time and effort, from packaging to delivery of hampers, and brought this project to where it is now. The Emergency Food Delivery Initiative is funded and supported by Victoria Foundation's Rapid Relief Fund, Communiy Food Centres (CFC) Canada's Good Food Access Fund, Khalsa Aid Canada, Food Rescue Canada, and local community partners in the Greater Victoria Area.
